The importance of Ergonomics

- Monitor - Your monitor should be at the back of your desk at least an arm's length away. The top of the screen should be at or slightly below your eye level.
- Height - Your desk should be high enough to ensure there is enough space for your legs. You should be able to rest your feet flat with your thighs parallel to the floor. Furthermore, the height of the desk should allow you to sit comfortably without slouching.

Can I fit a desk in my home?
If you have 1.5m width and 1.2m depth free somewhere within your home, you should have space for a large desk and chair setup. This provides enough space for a desk, that can measure over 1m wide and 60cm deep, while leaving space to comfortably sit in front of it.
How should I organise my desk?
You should aim to have your monitor positioned at the back of your desk at least an arm's length away. Your keyboard and mouse should be within easy reach at the front of your desk. Ideally, your PC should be placed on top of the desk. If you have to have it on the floor and you have carpet, raise your PC a few inches up to prevent fibres being drawn into your computer.
