80 Plus certification was initially introduced in America, but is now a global standard for the efficiency of power supplies. As time has gone on, Ecova has introduced various label standards of efficiency to their website in order to grade power supplies accordingly. These are tested either by 115v or 230v EU standards, with the following minimum efficiencies required: -
80 Plus - 115V - 80%, 80%, 80% / 230V - 82%, 85%, 82% (at 20/50/100% load)
80 Plus Bronze - 115V - 82%, 85%, 82% / 230V - 85%, 88%, 85% (at 20/50/100% load)
80 Plus Silver - 115V - 85%, 88%, 85% / 230V - 87%, 90%, 87% (at 20/50/100% load)
80 Plus Gold - 115V - 87%, 90%, 87% / 230V - 90%, 92%, 89% (at 20/50/100% load)
80 Plus Platinum - 115V - 90%, 92%, 89% / 230V - 92%, 94%, 90% (at 20/50/100% load)
80 Plus Titanium - 115V - 90%, 92%, 94%, 90% / 230V - 90%, 94%, 96%, 90% (at 10/20/50/100% load)
