Tubing comes in many different sizes. The most popular is 7/16 as it fits over the slightly larger 1/2 barbs to provide a tight fit. Due to the variety of tubing and fittings it is best to just decide if you want thin tubing or chunky tubing based on how you want your system to look.
When picking tubing it is always best to double check that the outer diameter and inner diameter match your choosen fittings to avoid any problems when installing. For example your chosen fitting is 16/10mm you would require 16/10mm tubing for the best fit.
It won't impact cooling so going for the tubing that suits your taste is the best idea.
More expensive tubing tends to have better clarity, have a tighter bend radius before it kinks and not be prone to yellowing over time.
