Seasonic has created the long awaited Prime series of power supplies, with the TX models representing the flagships thanks to their combination of high efficiency, remarkable performance, modular cable management and their stylish design. The perfectly harmonised combination of third-gen electronics has helped Seasonic to offer unparalleled load regulation with tolerances of under half of one percent.
The Seasonic Prime TX is an extremely powerful power supply and with its 1,000 Watt total output power is more than capable of powering high-end gaming PCs with multiple graphics cards. The powerful 12V rail delivers a full 83 Amps and is also certified 80 PLUS Titanium. Seasonic consistently relies on high-quality electronic components and the internal connections are largely wireless.
The completely modular, individually pluggable cables ensure a tidy interior and optimised air flow. The Seasonic Prime TX 1,000W provides a 24-pin- and two 4+4-pin -cables, six 6+2-pin PCIe -connectors and 14 SATA- and five 4-pin Molex connectors. This variety of connections means that enthusiast-class systems would be perfect for this power supply. Visually, the black power supply along with its black-silver grill looks the part in just about any PC case.
The built-in 135 mm fan has a smooth-running fluid dynamic bearing, which ensures quiet operation and an impressively long service life. The hybrid switch on the rear of the power supply also allows switching between automatic fan control with and without semi-passive mode. This is particularly valuable addition when it comes to the overall noise produced by the unit while keeping in mind the degree of cooling required and how much power the system is pulling from the power supply at any given time.
