The Ducky ONE 2 Mini gaming keyboard shines with a very minimalist exterior and a mix of new features and proven design concepts. That's how the trusted Kailh BOX switches come into their own and are combined by Ducky with PBT double-shot keycaps. The feature package is packaged in a sleek, white case with no numeric keypad and arrow keys in a very slim and stylish frame - all rounded off with RGB backlighting.
This Ducky One 2 Mini uses Kailh BOX White switches, with clicky feedback and satisfying acoustics. They require 45gf to actuation, and up to 60gf to bottom out. Paired with the 1.8mm pre- and 3.6mm total travel, these switches are ideal for quick-fire keystrokes and heavy typers.
The case of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini gaming keyboard is white. The keycaps are made of polybutylene terephthalate, or PBT for short, and produced in the double-shot process, making them significantly more durable than ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) keycaps.
The highlight of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini gaming keyboard is undoubtedly its RGB LED lighting, which allows for virtually endless design options. It offers a total of twelve different lighting modes to explore. The special highlight of the Ducky One2 Mini lies in the completely software-free RGB lighting configuration. All settings and changes can be realised with different key combinations.
The very popular mechanical switches are almost unbreakable and, depending on the switch used, are optimally suited for individual gamer types. With USB N-Key rollover, any number of buttons can be pressed simultaneously without causing ghosting or other delays. Here, the 1,000Hz polling rateis of help, sending data every millisecond from the keyboard to the PC. There is a USB Type-C connector on the keyboard that houses the detachable cable, which has the typical Type A connector on the other end. The two rubberised feet on the back are comfortable and are height adjustable in three stages.
The powerful ARM-M3 micro-controller of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini controls and stores the selected LED effects. It optimises communication between keyboard and PC while at the same time enabling additional functions, including the use of macros and profile memory. In addition to multimedia functions, Ducky Macro V2.0 also allows the mouse pointer to be controlled via the keyboard.
This compact keyboard layout not only lacks the numeric keypad, but also the arrow keys, the block with the Insert and Delete keys, and the Print, Num Lock, and Pause keys. The entire F-key row is also missing. All missing keys have been integrated into the remaining 61 keys and can be activated with the FN key. This TKL Mini or 60% layout results in a very portable and light keyboard.
