Handbrakes are uncommon in racing sim set ups, but the Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake is the perfect addition for rally driving rigs. With this handbrake, you can perfect your drift as it has been precision designed in CAD and FEA. The CNC laser cut steel is highly durable whilst its compact design ensures wider compatibility with simulators of all sizes.
Equipped with a two stage spring system, the Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake provides resistance and an authentic action. The initial coil mimics the feel of cable slack, whilst the proprietary elastomers simulate the main loading. Both stages can be adjusted. Travel and preload on the spring can be configured to meet your needs, whilst the compression feel can be customised utilising the three included elastomers. These vary from soft to stiff, allowing you to craft the perfect progressive brake feel for your racing set up.
What’s more, the Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake utilises load cell technology that accurately measures output. Capable of handling forces up to 22kg, this handbrake has linear outputs that can be customised with SmartControl Live software. The electronics are integrated within the handbrake’s base and are fully EMC compliant.
The Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake is supported by SmartControl Live software. This powerful configuration tool can be used to fine-tune the performance and settings on this handbrake to best suit your driving style and favourite racing simulator games. It supports unlimited profiles, so you can craft a variety of outputs to suit different games and even share with other users.
SmartControl Live gives you the option to remap pedal output curves, deadzones, and brake force. You can set custom signal outputs, allowing you to map non-linear curves. There are pre-defined curves to experiment with, as well as the option to input your own data and create your own shapes. Adjusting handbrake bottom deadzones is quick, easy, and can be seen visually and in real time. Plus, you can set brake output to 100% with a few clicks.
Facilitating further flexibility, the Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake can be mounted in a variety of ways. It is compatible with a wide range of racing simulation rigs and can be installed horizontally or vertically. What’s more, you can mount it directly utilising the four pre-drilled holes or add in an adapter plate, that is also provided. With this adapter, you can adjust the yaw of the Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake up to 22.5°, allowing you to configure this handbrake in the most ergonomic position for you. A selection of bolts and t-nuts are included within the scope of delivery, as well.
