Combine your racing sim hardware into one ecosystem, with the Heusinkveld Sim Rig GT. This robust and sturdy frame has been manufactured from aluminium and is designed for GT style racing set ups. There is ample support for racing hardware, such as pedal sets, handbrakes, shifters, and even up to three monitors. With this cockpit, you can craft the perfect ecosystem for your racing sim needs.
Make the Heusinkveld Sim Rig GT the firm and sturdy foundation for your racing simulator hardware. Consisting of aluminium profiles and waterjet cut aluminium brackets, this framework has outstanding durability and longevity. What’s more, it was engineered in CAD and FAE analysis to optimise its compatibility and design.
The Heusinkveld Sim Rig GT offers comprehensive support for the popular components in racing simulation set ups. This includes mounts and accommodations for pedal sets, racing wheels, shifters, handbrakes, seats, and even up to three monitors. There is wide compatibility and flexible mounting options for each piece of hardware.
Pedal Sets: There is a pedal baseplate with pre-drilled holes that is compatible with Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate and Sprint sets. Each pedal can be precisely placed, with adjustments to the left and right available. The baseplate itself can be moved thanks to the inclusion of four locking levers. What’s more, there are mounting holes for the USB controller box that comes with the Ultimate pedal set. A heel bracket is also supplied.
Steering Wheels: The steering wheel bracket allows for adjustments up or down as well as the tilt angle. There is limited compatibility with third party steering wheels and motors, but you can check the schematic (external link) for full details. An alternate bracket is included to extend compatibility with Fanatec racing wheels.
This wheel mount is compatible with the following racing wheels and motors: SimExperience AccuForce V1, Lenze MCS12 series, Lenze Mige 130 series, Kollmorgen AKM 52-53-54 motors, Fanatec CSW V2, Fanatec DD1 & DD2, Simucube 2 Ultimate, Simucube 2 Pro, and Simucube 2 Sport.
Shifter and Handbrakes: There are brackets for both shifters and handbrakes, compatible with Heusinkveld models. The handbrake bracket can be mounted vertically, for more ergonomic positioning within your set up.
Seat: As Heusinkveld products are designed for enthusiast and professional sim racers, this sim rig optimises installation stiffness over quick adjustments. There are four fixed seat brackets, that won’t flex under high braking forces. This set up works best with GT-style seats that utilise side mounting holes. These brackets can be installed at one of three heights, with an additional three heigh adjustment holes on the bracket itself. As a result, there are a maximum of thirty-six possible configurations to optimise the height and angle of your racing chair.
For minor adjustments to compensate for a driver’s leg length, then adjusting the pedal mounting plate should suffice. Alternatively, if you need to customise the seat multiple times in one session, then a traditional seat slider is recommended.
Monitors: The monitor mount is designed to hold up to three monitors. These can be between 24” and 28”, with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The optimum configuration of three 27” screens creates an immersive set-up, emulating the driver’s cockpit in a race car. Alternatively, you can mount a single monitor that is 34” or 35” with a 21:9 aspect ratio. For maximum compatibility, the mount is frame can be used with both 75cm by 75cm and 100cm by 100cm VESA mounts.
The overall Heusinkveld Sim Rig GT design is compact and lean, even with a triple monitor mount. The central monitor can be placed directly above the steering wheel. This minimises the distance between driver and screen, whilst putting the horizontal centre line at eye level.
Included with the Heusinkveld Sim Rig GT are four feet brackets and cable management routing. The feet brackets are paired with adjustable leg levellers that support the rig and provide clearance from the ground. As such, you can make fine-tune position adjustments to your rig with ease. Plus, the integrated cable management will provide a clean finish with minimal loose wiring.
The Heusinkveld Sim Rig GT does require extensive assembly and no tools are supplied. This kit can be built with a selection of easily available tools, though more specialist tools are required for mounting the racing wheel.
It is advised that you read the PDF manual (external link) before purchasing, to ensure you are comfortable with the amount of assembly required and have access to the tools.
