With this adapter cable from accessory specialist InLine, it becomes possible to operate an internal USB 2.0 connector (eg from the I / O panel of the housing) on a USB 3.0 header of a corresponding mainboard.

The cable, which is about 15 cm long, has a USB 2.0 8-pin connector in male (as it is on mainboards) on one side. On the other side is a USB 3.0 19-pin connector female Mainboard is connected.

In this way, the USB 3.0 port of the mainboard can be used as a USB 2.0 port - for example - a housing or card reader, whereby only the transfer speed of the older USB standard can be achieved.
