Built for medium to large hands with a preference for claw and palm grips, the Mountain Makalu 67 Optical Gaming Mouse features a unique, ribcage design which negates the need for a subframe. On the whole, the frame design takes the existing style of gaming mouse and instils it with a refined style. Subsequently, this is an incredibly lightweight mouse – weighing only 67g – making it the perfect equipment for competitive gaming. What’s more, the framework has a PCB coating which makes the mouse water-repellent and highly durable throughout.
Connecting to your gaming PC via USB, the Mountain Makalu 67 is equipped with a flexible, braided cable. Exiting the bezel at a 5°, there is less drag while using this gaming mouse.
Setting the Mountain Makalu 67 Optical Gaming Mouse apart from others, is its sensor. The first of its kind, the Mountain Makalu 67 is equipped with a PixArt PAW3370 optical sensor. In comparison to the PixArt PWM3389, this sensor has an error rate up to 50% lower than its predecessor. Enjoy incredible precision with this state-of-the-art optical gaming mouse.
Furthermore, this sensor boasts a resolution range of 100 to 19,000 DPI and a lift-off distance between 1-2mm. Thanks to the onboard memory, there are five DPI settings for you to configure and assign to the DPI switch, allowing you to toggle between them easily during gameplay. Keeping you in control, there are four LED indicator lights to designate which profile is currently in use. As a result, the Mountain Makalu 67 can accurately track your hand movements in a range of sensitivities.
Supporting the durability of the Mountain Makalu 67 Optical Gaming Mouse are the Omron switches equipped under the left and right buttons. Rated for 50 million clicks a piece, they have been optimised to prevent accidental double-clicks. In total, there are six buttons on this gaming mouse: the left and right buttons, the DPI switch, two side buttons, and the scroll wheel. Equipped with a genuine Japanese ALPS encoder, the scroll wheel is crisp and satisfying to use. The side buttons rest comfortably under the thumb, with the capability of being assigned a custom function.
On the underside, the Mountain Makalu 67 has large, U-shaped skates manufactured from 100% PTFE. With amazing durability, these skates will provide smooth, gliding action for many battles to come. Due to the general wear and tear that comes with heavy usage, Mountain includes a second set of skates with every mouse. The original skates are easy to remove and quick to replace with the spare set. Your skates can keep up with the rest of the mouse, and glide on.
More than just a gaming mouse, the Mountain Makalu 67 Optical Mouse is fully configurable using Mountain’s own Base Camp software. Granting access to macro mapping, key bindings, and DPI settings, this software allows you to fully customise your gaming mouse to match your needs and specifications.
Additionally, the RGB lighting can be controlled within Base Camp. Upon the shell of the Mountain Makalu 67 is a ring of 8 individually addressable RGB LEDs which can be customised to display a number of light shows. Choose from a range of pre-sets and 16.7 million colours to create a truly unique effect. Plus, the RGB lighting is supported by Razer Chroma, enabling you to synchronise the lighting across other Chroma-compatible devices. Enjoy a co-ordinated, dynamic arrangement.
