Nvidia RTX Logo

NVIDIA GeForce RTX opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Powered by the NVIDIA Turing architecture and offering next level artificial intelligence, real-time ray tracing and programmable shading. The RTX series offers unparalleled immersion and up to 6x faster performance.

Key Nvidia RTX Features

Turing Architecture

Turing Architecture

The Turing Architecture is the biggest leap since the invention of CUDA in 2006. This latest architecture fuses several key technologies including artificial intelligence, rasterization, and real-time ray tracing allowing for levels of realism never seen before.

Nvidia Ray Tracing

Ray Tracing

NVIDIA GeForce RTX implements the latest in Ray Tracing technology delivering cutting edge, hyper-realistic graphics. If you have ever wondered, what is Ray Tracing? It is an advanced method of rendering light and shadows in a scene. In essence, it traces the path of light and allows it to interact with objects in real time. This means lifelike shadows, reflections, colour shifts and light scattering just as it would in the real world.

Tensor Cores

Tensor Cores

The Tensor core is basically 10x 1080 Ti's dedicated to AI which highlights the pure computational power the RTX houses.

Tensor cores have been specially developed for deep learning and feature data paths optimised for floating point computational throughput. Delivering up to 12x higher peak teraflops (TFLOPS) in training and up to 6x higher in interference over the previous generation.

Virtual Link

VirtualLink

VirtualLink integrates 3 core technologies: DisplayPort, USB 3.1 and up to 27W of power into a single connector. This will completely revolutionize VR by removing the need for a bulky break-out box and allow for a much more compact and consumer-friendly single cable experience.

NVLink

NVLink

NVIDIA's latest SLI innovation NVLink dramatically improves bandwidth delivering up to 50x more than previous generations. (Available on 2080 and 2080 Ti only)

GDDR6 Memory

GDDR6

NVIDIA RTX utilises the latest, low power GDDR6 memory blowing away the competition. With up to 11GB VRAM and 14Gbps of bandwidth, you can truly experience the clarity of next-generation 4K gaming.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX FAQ

> Is it possible to play in Virtual Reality (VR) games with the GeForce RTX 2060, RTX 2070, RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Ti?

The RTX 2060, RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards are VR Ready. They are additionally backward compatible with all current generation games and virtual reality hardware.

> Is the RTX 2060, RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti 4K / UHD compatible?

All the RTX series cards are 4K / UHD compatible. From gaming to media, Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics cards deliver the performance and resolution you need.

> Which CPU works best with the RTX 2060, RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti?

We advise pairing the RTX series with at least a four or six-core Intel Core i5 processor or AMD Ryzen 5 CPU. For maximum performance in all resolutions, a high-end CPU such as the Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 Series should be used.

> Will the RTX 2060, RTX 2070, RTX 2080 or 2080 Ti be compatible with older hardware?

As long as your motherboard has a x16 PCIE slot and supports the power requirements there is no reason the GPU wont work with your current hardware. The displayed requirements are preferred system specifications but the graphics card will work with a wide range of hardware despite the recommendations supplied.
