The cases of the Eclipse P300 series are directed towards beginners while also offering interesting features for experienced PC enthusiasts. With an RGB-LED power button as well as an LED strip on the left side, the Dutch manufacturer offer a range of colourful highlights as you would expect! The unique feature of the Eclipse P300 is without doubt the modern side panel in tempered- as well as tinted glass, which offers you a breathtaking view of the installed hardware and an all-round premium appearance.
The Phanteks Eclipse P300 Midi-Tower offered here hails from the Phanteks Eclipse series and makes a striking visual impression with its clean lines and premium, perhaps even somewhat reserved design in black. The unibody front panel as well as the large side panel in tinted tempered glass lends the case a very premium look which, with the help of the LED lighting beneath the large tempered glass window, looks even better. The fins on the top in the front, which also help with ventilation, offer a welcome contrast to the sleek uniformity of the front panel.
In the middle of the front of the lid is located an RGB-LED backlit power button, while both audio connectors and USB 3.0 ports are situated parallel to the "front" panel. Even the button for controlling the LEDs is located here on the Eclipse P300. The roof also holds a large, removable mesh grill that acts as a dust filter and air vent.
Thanks to the black paintwork even the interior of the black Eclipse P300 gives off a premium look, the interior is also divided into two parts by means of a PSU shroud. This PSU shroud also conveniently hides the drive bays which are rotated to a 90° angle, and these bays allow for tool-free installation of two 3,5" or 2,5" data storage devices on the front after removal of the front cover. An SSD can be installed behind the motherboard tray with the help of a "Drop-N-Lock" SSD bracket, and a second bracket can be optionally installed. With 35 mm of space there is plenty of room for cable management. Velcro cable ties also enable users to guide cables cleanly through the case.
Gamers and enthusiasts will be well catered for by the high-end gamer hardware options compatible with the Phanteks Eclipse P300, including compatibility with graphics cards up to 330 mm in length and radiator mounting for AiO coolers and custom water-cooling. The rear of the case enables 120 mm installation of a 120 mm fan while the front can hold two 120- or 140 mm fans. As an alternative to the front fans, a 240 or 280 mm heat exchanger can be installed in the front instead. Besides the pre-installed 120 mm fans in the rear, a 120- or 140 mm case fan can be installed in the roof.
For those who would like to use a regular CPU cooler on their processor, coolers up to 16 cm in height are compatible while power supplies up to 197 mm in length can be installed to provide the gaming system with power. The LED lighting is powered via 12 Volt SATA cable and a 4-pin connector allows the case's LED lighting to be connected to an optional LED controller or motherboard with compatible RGB connectors. Furthermore the case is, with the help of the optional RGB motherboard adapters, compatible with ASUS Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and MSI Mystic Light. These allow the motherboard's lighting to be adjusted to coordinate with the lighting installed within the case, the result of this is a gaming PC that can have a matching colour scheme alongside matching LED effects.
