The
Raijintek METIS EVO TG is the updated version of the popular METIS Mini-ITX SFF case and features vast improvements. The designers at Raijintek have paid particular attention to cooling and have significantly improved the airflow. The
front panel is now made entirely of a fine mesh, behind which a
huge 200mm fan can be installed. The back and base also have air holes, as does the solid aluminium cover. This enables air flow from all sides to installed hardware. The
side panels are made of tempered glass and are fastened with spacers, further enhancing the airflow.
The Raijintek METIS EVO TG Mini-ITX case at a glance:
- Compact Mini-ITX case made of anodized aluminium in silver with a black interior
- Two tempered glass side panels for a clear view of installed hardware
- Support for Mini-ITX motherboards
- Graphics cards up to 28 cm and CPU coolers up to 13.5 cm in length
- Room for two 2.5" and two 3.5" drives
- Space for a 200mm fan at the front, additional slots for three fans
Compact Mini-ITX case and a unique design
From the outside, the
METIS EVO TG captivates with its simple but elegant design in sleek silver. The I/O panel consists of an illuminated power button as well as
USB 3.0 type A and a USB 3.0 type C ports. The left and right panels of the case are two
tinted tempered glass panes with Raijintek logos embellish on them. The panels are fixed with spacers, further improving airflow. They also allow for an unhindered view into the interior of the case, giving the possibility to optically enhance the case with LED lighting.
The case has the form of a slim cube and is ideal for Mini-ITX motherboards. It is made of
two millimetres thick, coloured anodized aluminium and measures only 29.3 cm (width) by 26.3 cm (height) by 29 cm (depth). A motherboard can be mounted vertically, being attached to a steel frame that extends from the back and bottom to the front. The rear and top of the case have a solid aluminium cover and the
front is also covered with a fine mesh, which also serves as a dust filter.
Raijintek METIS EVO TG: Innovative design, excellent cooling
With the
METIS EVO TG's innovative design, Raijintek have struck a good balance between creating the smallest possible volume and maintaining utility. This allows the user flexibility in their choice of components to fit inside while maintaining a compact exterior. New in this version are the additional fan slots. Up to two 92 mm fans can now be mounted on the rear, and either a 92 mm or even a 120 mm fan can be attached on the base. The front of the chassis can accept a 200mm, 140mm or 120mm fan. This creates an effective airflow that cools installed hardware. A
CPU cooler up to 135 mm can be installed. Those who prefer water cooling,
can mount a radiator up to 200 mm long in the front . Bear in mind though, in that case the length of the
dual-slot graphics card is limited from a maximum of 280 millimetres to 220 millimetres.
The
METIS EVO TG also provides enough space to mount
two 2.5/3.5-inch drives in the HDD cage under the cover. Two additional 2.5-inch drives can be mounted on the HDD cage and bottom of the case. The full-fledged ATX power supply on the rear can be replaced by a
compact SFX power supply , brackets for both are included. Stable feet are located on the underside, which also ensure good noise and vibration dampening and airflow from below.
