Enhance your audio production levels with the Shure SM7B Studio Microphone. Whether you are streaming, podcasting, or recording the next number one hit, this microphone is backed by nearly 100 years’ experience in the audio industry. Its cardioid pick-up pattern isolates your voice whilst reducing background noise. Crafted for audio perfection, many of the internal components also feature isolating technologies to prevent them from picking up electromagnetic signals and mechanical noises. Crystal clear audio, every time.
The Shure SM7B Studio Microphone is backed by nearly 100 years’ experience in the audio industry. As a result, it has been shaped and crafted for audio perfection across a range of applications. This cylindrical microphone is excellent for vocals, streaming, podcasting, and close-up recording of voices and instruments, alike. The flat, wide-range frequency response creates a natural and clean reproduction of music and speech. Plus, with its professional, 3-pin XLR connector, you have reliable performance with every recording session.
The Shure SM7B Studio Microphone utilises a cardioid pick-up pattern, unidirectional with a bias towards the front. This helps to isolate your voice and reduce background noise. What’s more, there are a number of technologies which help to focus the recording on your vocals and not interrupting noises or signals.
The internal shock isolation is air suspended which all but eliminates the transmission of mechanical noises. On top of this, the Shure SM7B has shielding from electromagnetic hum and signals. As a result, the microphone won’t pick up on interference emitted by computer monitors, such as broadband signals, making it an ideal microphone to add to your streaming set-up.
To further help your audio sound clear, and balanced just the way you want it, the Shure SM7B Studio Microphone features a bass rolloff and presence boost switches. Found on the back of the microphone, it is easy to toggle between modes to create your perfect sound.
The bass rolloff can be used to reduce lower tones, by sliding the switches into the down position. This also helps reduce background hum from A/C, HVAC, and traffic. Presence boost is for when you want brighter sounds in the mid-range frequencies. To achieve this, slide the switches up. Out of the box, the default setting is with the left switch up and right switch down. This is called the flat response and works with most applications.
The Shure SM7B Studio Microphone is equipped with premium quality components that reduce the explosive breath sounds we make when speaking. Common plosives heard in the English language are t, k, and p. This microphone is equipped with a highly effective pop filter that expertly protects against them, even when recording close up. What’s more, included within the scope of delivery is a Shure A7WS Wind Screen. This can be attached and detached as needed, to further help shield from plosives as well as create an overall warmer sound.
Creating great versatility and stability, the Shure SM7B Studio Microphone features a yoke mount. The 5/8” 27 thread makes it compatible with a wide range of tripods and boom arms. What’s more, the yoke can be loosened and tightened, allowing you to position the microphone perfectly before securing in place.
