I usually stick with Crucial for most of my storage needs, including my P3 and T500, but I needed a 4TB NVMe drive to store more games, and Crucial didn’t have any available that were reasonably priced or in stock.
I’ve used Western Digital before, but only for HDDs. However, I have to say, this is one of the BEST SSDs I’ve ever used.
With 4TB of space and blazing fast speeds, it’s impressive. My Crucial T500 is rated for similar speeds but doesn't consistently reach them. Typically, my T500 maxes out around 6800MB/s, while this Western Digital drive can hit up to 7400MB/s. Even when gaming, I’ve seen it reach speeds of 1200MB/s while loading saves, which is honestly incredible.
While it’s not a Gen 5 SSD, which would be ideal, a 4TB Gen 5 drive is around £600 at the time of writing, so this is a no-brainer. I could buy three of these for the price of one Gen 5.
Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it. The durability is fantastic as well.

I added this drive to compliment my sn750 and a firecuda 530 and I am thoroughly impressed. Nice read and write, and nice and cool with no heatsink. Excellent as a storage medium, or as a boot drive. You can't go wrong for the price

Installed with my 7700x and couldn't be happier with the performance, its expensive compared to traditional hard drives but boot times and restarts are reduced to as handful of seconds along with installs of big programs, mostly games which load up in a matter of seconds also, its just a pity many modern games don't let us skip the stupid logo screens e.g Doom Eternal.
