I chose this model based on a few reviews saying how quiet it was. I'm not sure i'd agree with that, but I havent got another 3080 to compare it to - maybe other 3080's are even louder..! I'm using it for high FPS at 1440p, and it does that very well. Using a fairly dated rig these days as well - 6700k, 16gb ram, maximus gene 8 mobo. In summary: its a powerful card, but it IS noisy at full load.
This GPU is simply amazing at everything. -It has 3 fans, with the middle fan spinning opposite to reduce turbulence (good thing), -It has outstanding cooling, averaging out at around 60° Celsius at max load even when overclocked, bringing me to my next point. -Has amazing overclocking potential, with the cooling being so good, I'm able to overclock this GPU to +75 core and +1000 memory all while being stable and never going over 65° even under a high load. -Is extremely quiet, even under load with the 3 fans going, it's hard to hear this GPU working, and yet performance is great and it stays cool, sound won't be an issue for most setups. -Is actually cheap and in stock a lot compared to 99% of other after market GPUs of this calibre. TL;DR - If you're into gaming, and can afford it, get this card. It is, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck with great overclocking, sound, cooling and performance.
This card right here allowed me to finally not worry about any task GPU related, getting solid performance in even the most intensive games I own. Card doesn't seem to sag too much either from what I can see!
