Easy upgrade to an excellent motherboard with great features
by S EllinghamI'd been considering upgrading my computer for some time, and recently decided to treat myself - the i7-6700K I was using had served me well for 6-7 years, but was starting to show its age. As I like to keep my PCs in service for quite some time, I wanted something that could last, and given the rest of my components were perfectly fine for the workloads I have, a straight motherboard and processor swap was a great way to keep costs down. Therefore, I decided to jump to an i5-13500K, and after doing some research decided on this motherboard - has all the IO and PCI Express slots I need, allowed me to keep the 64GB of DDR4 RAM I already had, and should prove perfect for repurposing as a home server when I eventually move on in a few years. The previous motherboard I had was an ASUS Z170-A, and I've also used ASUS motherboards for a couple of other PCs I've built - I've always found them to be well featured for the price, and easy to install and navigate around. All in, a perfect motherboard for me
