Solid Speed, Solid Cooling
by GrimNo complaints, paired well with 7800X3D. Solid frames all over the board, very large card so keep that in mind!

It's a big card with 353 mm in length so check you atx case compatibility. Also look for a psu which gives 3 pcie cables with it. I had to get corsair rm1000x to power this thing up as it comes with 3 stock pcie cables. The GPU has a really good built quality. I played Rdr2 at ultra setting and I was impressed by its thermal stability. I have a corsair 3000D rgb case with only stock fans pairing it with 7800x3D with deepcool A620 on it. The GPU runs amazingly silent and stays around 60 C with hotspots going up to 75 C. It comes with a support stand to hold the other end of the gpu as it's pretty heavy. Nice touch Asus as I am really happy with the purchase.
I upgraded from my old and treasured (8 year old) 1070 card and my first thought was "man this is big" (much later I thought "man how do I remove my hard drive bay") The card comes well boxed and feels well made - no cheap plastic shrouds in sight! It is very weighty so much so it includes a card support to take some of the weight to (in my case) the power supply. Fitting was slightly challenging as (as previously mentioned) the card is huge and made finger access to tighten the bracket screws tough (magnetic screwdriver recommended!!) the driver download was slightly less obvious as you need to install the VGA which driver, which isn't the old connector interface its the driver for the card... poor choice of naming there. Also if you install the GPU tweak thinking that is the drier, the error message you get is a bit cryptic but gave me enough of a hint!. The card is working well and as far as I am concerned silently - the fans spool up as needed. For those of interest the is a switch on the card to let it prioritise silent running, which I left set to the default (full power? gaming? something like that) and I really don't hear it while typing this review . I have run up Horizon Forbidden West and wow. the difference is staggering and I am a very happy gamer! I hope this lasts another 8 years...
