This CPU has done terrible damage to Intel

by John star_border star_border star_border star_border star

I’ve been through 3 x 14th Gen CPU’s now. The best ones last 16 weeks, the worst just four weeks All of them fell over gradually with the system becoming more and more unstable, this is despite only running only default XMP settings on two different Asus extreme z690 and z790 boards. I had weeks of aggro before realising it was these brand new CPU’s slowly falling apart and frankly now after the replacements for the faulty first two also died I wouldn’t touch 14th gen with a barge pole now. I was running ryujin 3 360mm AIO cooling as well. This 14th Gen calamity could literally destroy Intel as it’s a massive issue globally with thousands reporting the same thing If they make the same mistake on the next CPU Release platform they are finished - it’s that simple. Overclockers were wonderful about it and refunded me fully and I’ve gone back to running two 12the Gen CPUs in my systems now - but I shouldn’t have to do that to get a stable reliable system Intel.. The difference is like night and day, no issues and 20 deg cooler. I wouldn’t wish 14th Gen on my worst enemy
