solid case - great value for money
by Andrew BRTlove it, great for 2ndary build
This case is the mesh version of the simple, but attractive Nova Midi-Tower and puts the focus on air cooling. In this variant, the entire front is made of a close-meshed metal mesh grid to maximize airflow. Behind it is a layer of fine nylon fabric that serves as a dust filter. In spite of the fine mesh, illuminated fans placed behind it are clearly visible from the outside. The front panel also features the typical BitFenix logo on the front and a 120mm fan built into the rear. Users can also expect two 3.5-inch slots, two 2.5-inch slots and the option of installing additional fans. The BitFenix Nova Mesh thus offers plenty of space for the most common configurations.
The front panel with the fine mesh perfectly combines the need for attractive aesthetics with airflow. The case makes no compromises in terms of its appearance. On the contrary: the design is timelessly elegant and looks as if it were made from a single moulded piece. The seamless design not only looks great, it also serves a purpose, because the BitFenix Nova Mesh is designed to fight against dust and annoying hardware noises.
The two basic versions of the Nova Mesh case (with and without tempered glass side panel) differ on the left side panel. Thanks to its modern design, the motherboard is installed at the top and the power supply at the bottom. This offers the advantage of a separate fresh air inlet for the power supply unit through the floor, thus reducing overall heat build-up. A dust filter protects the power supply from the ingress of dirt and the prevents overheating. A power supply cover hides any unsightly cable clutter.
A large cut-out in the motherboard tray allows for the easy and straightforward installation of compatible CPU coolers. Expansion cards can be mounted by easily removable screws. Two internal 2.5/3.5-inch slots are available in the HDD cage under the power supply cover. Two 2.5-inch drives are located on the back of the motherboard tray, and another one can be screwed onto the power supply cover. All in all, there's plenty of room for full-size hardware.
When it comes to cooling, up to three 120 or two 140 fans can be installed on the front. In addition, two 120 mm fans can be mounted on top. Together with the pre-installed 120 mm fan on the rear, this makes for an impressive maximum of six 120 mm fans, ensuring your hard-earned hardware receives the best possible cooling. Thanks to the fine mesh front and the dust filter on the lid, the interior will remain clean and low-maintenance for years to come. Of course, you can install compatible radiators instead of the fans if you prefer, for example a 360 or a 280 at the front. On the top there is a somewhat narrow space for a 240 mm radiator.
The I/O panel in the upper offers two USB 3.0 and two HD audio connections. The connectors are complemented by the addition of a power switch and a reset switch.
