Beautiful but fragile (compared to PETG)
by OwenI have been using PETG for a number of years and I had never done hardline with acrylic before as im fairly new to this and only been doing it since 2018 or so. If you are like me and you order this then bare in mind its a new ballgame from PETG. Pipe cutter, pipe shears are useless and snapped it immediately after putting a small bit of pressure and send it flying over the room you're in I decided the satin finish did look beautiful enough to warrant me trying this (before immediately giving up and going back to PETG which is tenfolds more durable in comparison) so the option was to use a hacksaw but my hacksaws were old and i found far more success using my dremel tool I just used the standard heavy duty disc which cut this with relative ease and didnt leave the cracks or snap it, people online said to buy a plastic specific cutting disc but personally i didnt feel it was needed, and impatience made me try the normal cutting disc and it was great), after using this i would sand it down to an even finish (if you have the sanding dremel tool this is perfect and far easier than doing it manually) Be careful with the deburring tool as even if you use a slight bit of force it can crack of break this, i learned this the hard way after spending about 20 mins doing 2 90's on a tube, cutting & sanding it down to a millimetre of perfection and i went a bit heavy on the deburring and i watched on in heartbreak as the deburring tool snapped a bit off the end of it Reading online this stuff is far more akin to Acrylic so if you used that before then you will be fine, i've heard this tubing is much better for higher temps in comparison to PETG, personally i never had an issue but if you go on reddit or online you will see people seeing this is better for temp liquid going through it Overall I would recommend it even after all this, the satin finish is really beautiful and the pictures on this website don't do it justice, a quick google search will show you what you can achieve, and the hours of heartache cutting/buffing/sanding it felt worth it in the end
