Superb with Soundblaster Optical input
by IainMacDid a lot of research after my old Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 speakers recently failed after nearly 16yrs daily service (bought from OC in 2008). Did not want the hassle of wiring in another 5.1 system, and had always used 3.5" analogue jacks with my Sound Blaster cards - Zx is my current card. Creative had nothing decent in 2.0/2.1 to match the T6100's 74W RMS, and always fancied some Edifiers, but wanted to use Optical out from the card to speakers. OC had best price and availability in Jan 2024, superbly packaged and delivered on-time by a reliable courier company (DPD). Once you get these wee beauties plumbed in (all cables provided in box), using the latest SB Command app, got digital out running at 24bit 96Khz, with fantastic audio, wee tweak of bass and treble and then tested YT, Netflix, Amazon Prime, some games and of course Spotify. Acoustic happiness ensued, stunning audio for my old ears, not sure i need a sub-woofer (Edifier T5), though the speaker supports one being added. So a very happy customer. Treat yourself to a pair, their incredible!!
