GIGABYTE makes another classic....almost
by PaulWell, I've been a GIGABYTE loyalist for 10 years due to their legendary durability and longevity. Still rocking my GIGABYTE Ultra Durable Tower after 10 years requiring only a new graphics card every few years but these things will run ANYTHING. The reason I needed a gaming portable is because the screen finally fell off the one I have after 7 years and couldn't be repaired but the unit itself with it's combination of GIGABYTE and the equally legendary 980m 8GB still runs today and runs very well. This AORUS 7 is the best you can get for the money blowing other brands twice the price out of the water. Admittedly it isn't pretty to look at being housed in the most basic of cases however it is solidly built and feels of reassuringly high quality. Plugged into a large screen TV the HDR is phenomenal and smooth or if you prefer the built in screen it handles high frame-rates with ease standing toe to toe with even the best desktops at a fraction of the price. Of course corners have been cut to keep the price competitive making the sound system absolute garbage. Honestly the built in sound is truly awful and poor quality being overwhelmed by a cooling fan that will make the unit take off like a jet fighter when set to maximum so a good quality set of external speakers is a must, Overall I expect to be using this for years to come and consider it an investment. GIGABYTE really deserve to be more popular.
