IN WIN are so successful in pushing the boundaries in the way they do. The
Z-Tower demonstrates their ability to go above and beyond once more. "Extraordinary" almost doesn't quite manage to do this Full-Tower case justice as, aside from the choice of materials, the
shape itself is also unique and eye-catching. It is at the centre of the unique swirling aluminium elements of this case that your PC components are installed. The entire case is made of
aluminium and much of it is crafted by hand. Furthermore
this limited edition case also comes with its own unique engraved serial number - the
Z-Tower could be said to be more of a piece of art than a case at points.
The exceptional shape, which is reminiscent of a futuristic base hailing from the pages of Sci-Fi literature, has also been the recipient of extensive forethought and planning however. Everything is in its place for a reason. The spiral-shaped structure helps strengthen the chimney effect of the case, meaning that heat produced by the components is exhausted upwards in an efficient manner. A plentiful supply of fresh air is available by drawing it in from the base and the case's sides. Of course this is one of the advantages of the aluminium sides not having any coverings - the case is completely open. Up to
three fans at the top will also add to the effectiveness of the chimney effect. Alternatively, a
radiator is also an option if watercooling is more your thing.

Artistry, Craftsmanship & Functionality
The material of choice, aluminium, helps to give the case a very unique look. The swirling side panels are created from poured aluminium and gleam in stunning silver. The
Z-Tower not only looks original however, its interior also leaves users a veritable cornucopia of options when it comes to installing powerful hardware. The outer parts of the case are attached to a stand with a unique honeycomb pattern and wrap around a central support. This is how the case manages to support motherboards up to the
E-ATX form factor.
Fitting an ATX- or EPS-format power supply is possible using a support on the underside which leaves PSUs up to
120 mm of space. Additionally, there is a total of eight horizontal PCI slots where GPUs up to a length of 340 mm can be installed. Alternatively, the
graphics card can also be mounted vertically. A
riser cable designed just for this case has been included courtesy of IN WIN with the
Z-Tower. For drives and other storage devices, there are two brackets located towards the bottom where either
two 3,5- or 2,5" drives can be installed.
Effective Cooling Thanks to the Chimney Effect
The cooling design of the
Z-Tower is anything but standard since, except for the curved panels, the case is completely open. Even the underside of the case with its unique honeycomb pattern that enables unobstructed airflow. The side panels
also help to strengthen the chimney effects, an effect which results from cool air being pulled in front below, heated up by the GPU and other warm hardware, and rising upwards as a consequence. This effect is compounded by the use of fans which run at the top of the case, which also utilises a honeycomb pattern. Up to
three 120 mm fans can be installed here. Alternatively, a 360 mm radiator can be installed. An additional CPU cooler can be up to 170 mm deep.
In between the honeycomb pattern top of the case, users will find the I/O panel. Apart from the on/off switch, and the audio ports, a cutting-edge
USB 3.1 Type C port along with two USB 3.0 Type A ports are present.
