I owned before a Ryzen 7 2700x and a I5 5600k now I bought this and to be honest is very cool and performance wise is a beast , also with Asus prime Z790-A WIFI doens't require BIOS update as it comes with 1210 version from factory.
i previously had a 7800x3d which i couldn't get to run stable so decided to go to intel i play at 3440x1440p and i can tell you this processor is perfect paired with my strix 4090 there is literally a couple of fps different between this and the 7800x3d what i can tell you in the 1% lows are way more stable on intel than amd, oh also if your on windows 10 give windows 11 a try with this gen as it separates the e and p cores better "from what i read" but for me this was way more stable on windows 11 over 10
