This CPU goes on sale very often, and I got mine for £269. For the raw performance this gives in both gaming and workstation workloads, it cannot be matched by another intel CPU at this price. Very much recommend!
Bought this so that I could upgrade and pass on my old Z690 based PC to a family member without giving them the headache of buying a new heatsink to cope with the 13th and 14th gen real world heat. It's not the latest tech but, if you're not building an AMD system from scratch then it's still worth considering.
a solid cpu, i was very lucky in the silcon lottery and got a sample that boosts up to 5.5Ghz on some cores with the worst of the P cores still boosting to 5.3Ghz which is obviously phenominal. The only downside is finding some reasonably priced DDR5 because ultimately youll need to go with DDR5 really to get the best out of it in the future as software is tailored for the new tech. It peaks at 85 Deg C using a decent AIO.The benchmarks all look great but in reality for a gamer my old i9 9900KS was just as good with a decent GPU so if your running a Z390 setup and just mainly to play games save your money in honesty as you wont see much improvment, but for encoding etc its a good leap
