Lian Li has done it again! This time they have excelled in creating a functional yet stylish case and improving it even more. The Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower combines brushed aluminium with tempered glass elements. The dimensions of the case are designed so that even the huge EEB ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme motherboard with Intel's C621 chipset and Socket 3647 for Xeon processors will fit with the assistance of an additional accessory (available separately). What Lian Li have retained here is the broad dual-chamber design, which offers plenty of space for high-end gaming components as well as excellent cable management options. The options open to users when it comes to air- or water cooling, it goes without saying, are second to none.
The modular Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower combines steel with a tinted, tempered glass side panel for superb looks. Lian Li takes things one step further however, and equips the right side panel and roof with 1 mm thick aluminium. The front also includes stunning tempered glass to allow users an unobstructed view of the case's interior.
The right part of the front includes an I/O panel with a USB 3.1 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports and both obligatory audio ports. Two additional USB 3.0 ports are located on the lower right part of the front section. In between the I/O panel and the tempered glass panel lies an attractive RGB-LED strip that stretches from top to bottom - the lighting of which can be controlled by means of two switches on the front panel. The RGB-LED strip can also be connected to a traditional 5VDG port on compatible motherboards.
The Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower offers a tonne of space for powerful gaming hardware. Even the huge ROG Dominus Extreme EEB motherboard from Asus can be installed with the help of an additional accessory from Lian Li. Graphics cards can be up to 446 mm in length, with CPU coolers up to a height of 167 mm also fitting. An ATX form factor power supply can be installed in an upright orientation in the left side of the rear, power supplies up to 210 mm in length will fit.
When it comes to installing AiO- or custom water cooling, the case has got you covered - up to three 360 mm radiators can be installed simultaneously: one in the roof, one in the bottom and one next to the motherboard. The right side of the case includes air vents that help to better dissipate heat produced by your gaming hardware. If you install three 360 mm radiators at the same time, slim radiators should be used in the roof and next to the motherboard. Generally speaking however, a triple-radiator setup is an option here, although it will require close attention to detail when it comes to fitting everything and we recommend checking with the manufacturer beforehand, particularly when it comes to custom water cooling. The roof of the case provides space for a 280 mm radiator.
The radiator slots can of course be filled with fans if you prefer. At the side behind the front section, in the roof and on the bottom, up to three 120 mm fans will fit, and the roof / bottom of the case will support two 140 mm fans instead of three 120 mm fans. For clean and tidy cable management, multiple rubberised cable pass-throughs are available in places such as along the edges of where the motherboard will be seated. The right chamber of the case is where most of the cooler hardware that does not need a great deal of active cooling will go, such as the power supply and storage devices.
The Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower stands slightly raised atop rubberised steel feet, meaning that cool air is able to enter the case through the dust filter in the bottom. Thanks to the chimney effect, warm air travels upwards and consequently exits through the roof - which is also equipped with a dust filter. Two additional dust filters cover both perforated grilles in the right side section. The elegant Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower is not only a looker, it's more than capable of supporting some serious gaming hardware to make it perfect for PC gaming enthusiasts of all stripes, particularly where water cooling is on the agenda.
In order to install all your storage devices, the case allows two HDD cages to be installed, meaning that four 3,5" HDDs or four 2,5" SSDs will fit. The four slots can be reached from the rear of the case, where they are covered by a perforated panel. Three 2,5" drives can be installed on the reverse of the motherboard tray. Additionally, three further 2,5" slots are available on a bracket to the fore next to the motherboard tray. The bracket can instead be installed on the bottom of the case, creating some space next to the motherboard for a radiator for example. In total, four 3,5"- and six 2,5" drives can be mounted.
Note: Those wishing to install their graphics card vertically in the Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower can opt for the Lian Li O11D-1 expansion kitThis is the only kit compatible with the Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower! It includes a compatible slot bracket as well as a premium quality riser cable.

Configuration of my Dynamic XL - 3xfan side rack intake(2x 140mm Noctua +1 Arctic 120mm), intake 1 x 120 mm @800rpm backplate CPU/MBO PCB, exhaust 1x 120mm exhaust Arctic @1300RPM + exhaust x2x140mm usually around 600-1000rpm from Arctic 280mm AIO . Cons: In specifications is stated that this case support for 140 mm fans is for 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top but actually is supporting also 3 x 140mm fans on the side. The supporting mounting rack on the side is exactly like the top one. The bad thing about supporting racks for fans in the dynamic XL are design with 120 mm fans in mind, while you can mount there 140mm fans, are plenty of obstructions for the airflow of an 140mm fan 1. Mounting racks. 2. The side mesh which is only 140mm wide and got 2x strips of magnets reducing even more the airflow surface of the mesh to 130mm. The meshes should have been 150mm wide. 3. The top and side grills are 130mm wide 4. Bad design of the grills with slats 6mm wide(needless material consumption and obstructions of airflow ) instead of 3mm or less- - not really to maximize airflow even if you mount only 120 mm fans. Why making 130mm grills and meshes when you clearly state that this case can take 140 mm fans? Even in the back of the case the grill for mounting 120 mm fan is 130 mm tall - therefore you are left with a gap. I think Lian Li knows something we don't. 130 mm fans will be soon on the market and they wanted to be first to have cases supporting those incoming 130 mm fans :D This OD Dynamic is at the lower limit of an proper XL case. Mounting the SSD in the way that Lian Li design it(vertical) will result in maximum 3 SSD on the back plate wil result in SATA cables and power cables being twisted more than you like and harder to mount. So if you want more SSDs and no twisted cables you have to mount them horisontally using a single screw and tape. If you decide to mount them verticaly, when you twist the cables you have to be careful to not damage the interface of the SSD - there is a risk because some PSU power cables can be rigid. Conclusion: Support for 140 mm fans is poor and you have to use different tools to cut off the obstructions of the fan racks. Nobody should have to modify to maximize the airflow a case at this price range. For that only 3 stars. If you mount a radiator on the top of the case you'll have a gap towards the end of the case because the CPU 8 pin power cable will be in the way, even if you mount a radiator with 120 mm fan the obstruction of CPU 8pin power cable will be an issue. Pros: I come from an XL case but OD 11 Dynamic XL does a better job at cooling than my previous XL case. However have to be taken in consideration the fact that my old case had Prolimatech CPU air cooler causing more obstruction of airflow in the case than my present Arctic 280mm Looks nice.
A nice sized case with lots of nice features. Alot of room for hard drives and nice cable management features. It fits my 3080 with room to spare. It's kept cooler than my previous case.
Cannot believe this case. I always liked the look of it, but in person it's so nice....really easy to work in, bags of space in the PSU chamber (if your not using the Hot Swap caddy's). Would highly recommend this case, I have 2 360 rads in mine with 10 QL120's
