Lian Li has managed to pack a large amount of power delivery into a small package with the SP850. Boasting an SFX form factor, the dimensions are 100mm x 63.5mm x 125mm (DxWxH), perfect for a small build. This PSU will be able to supply even the most powerful components available. The SP850 is able to achieve this by delivering 100W on its combined +3.3V and +5V rails, and 840W on its combined +12V rails.
The Lian Li SP850 is an amazingly quiet power supply, and when under a full load, the cooling fan only reaches 40.6 dB. That's as quiet as a library! What's even better, the passive heat dissipation of this PSU is so effective that when under 40% load, the fan can enter a zero RPM mode for totally silent operation. The cooling potential of this power supply is possible thanks to the 91.55% efficiency at 115VAC at 50% load. Thanks to this capability, this PSU is able to achieve an 80 Plus Gold rating and only narrowly misses out on an 80 Plus Platinum rating.

It's an ok PSU. it does the job and it works good. It powers my 7900X and 4080Super without issue but when the fan turns on it, it's LOUD. I basically had to setup another fan blowing into it to help aleviate it. The less the built in PSU fan comes on the better. I would go for another one that just runs the PSU fan all the time even at slow speed.
