Perfect to expand WS 2.0/DD, some tolerance issues and could be more refined. Price tag quite high
by AndreaOverall a great solution if you want to expand your current NLR stand. I started with the WS 2.0 due to lack of space initially, but then had the chance to expand the rig. I'd suggest, if you have the budget and space, to go with a aluminium profile straight away as this addon and the wheel stand you reach a total of 700£. With that amount you can buy an aluminium profile which has a lot more customisation and flexibility for seat upgrade and accessories configurations. But in that case the seat would be an extra purchase, probably around 900£. Going back to the Seat Addon, it's very rigid and robust, with 3-4mm thick carbon steel square tubular frame. Noticed some manufacturing imperfections and unpolished wields edges. Also it was quite annoying trying to bolt it to the wheel stand due to some tolerances and the holes threads were not matching. Being cautious, I took my time to balance the two frame so the holes and threads were almost aligned and avoiding uneven assembly of the frame, leading to tensions in the whole frame. If you have some diy skills this is pretty straightforward. That's mainly the reason for 4 stars. Also the customisation is quite limited compared to a profile rig, although using some spare alu profiles bolted in, I was able to expand and mount custom accessory on both the Seat Addon and the wheel stand. Note that you have to be careful not to overtighten the bolts. If you overdo it the profile can bend inwards, affecting the strength of the support. The great advantages is the compatibility with the NLR ecosystem. I was able to mount the NLR Motion Platform V3 without drilling holes or using brackets or other hardware. I've wheels underneath, but full metal ones purchased aftermarket, as the plastic ones from NLR are not my cup of tea. I have it since a year and it's holding great. It's a great product to start and get into simracing and you can keep it for a long time, but at some point I think you'll feel the need to upgrade to something different and more customisable.
