Both died completely after 5 months

I bought 2 of these to set up a mirrored pair for my precious data. BOTH died completely about 5 months later within about an hour of each other. Mirroring doesn't help if both disks die! I couldn't believe that the two disks would fail at the same time, so I did a lot of mobo/power/etc testing, but yes it was the disks. Fortunately I also had a good offline backup (paranoia pays off :)) so after I got some Samsung replacements I got it all back, but it could have been a proper disaster. The disks have gone back now (thanks OC for the good service as usual!) but if WD replace them instead of refunding me I'm going to use them as scratch disks or something. There is no way I'm ever trusting my data to a WD drive ever again. Apparently there is a known firmware bug with an issued fix, but frankly who checks for SSD firmware updates on a regular basis? I find that hardware-mirrored disks don't show up in the manufacturers' utilities anyway, so I wouldn't have picked it up even had I checked.
