A very good upgrade from my 10 year old OCUK PC
by ChrisI was running an i5 with GTX 970 for going on 10 years. I needed an upgrade and opted for this system. When first powering it on and installing some software, the noise was unbearable from the fans. I installed some fan software and still noisy. I then checked the BIOS and what do ya' know. System fans running at 100%. Changed the setting to Smart or whatever it is and it is quiet as a Santa on Xmas eve. Please note, I also added another 2 sticks of Ram, the same type as whats in the pre-built PC. It now has 32GB or RAM. I initally wanted it to run Hell Let loose better than what I could do on my old system, and boy does it run it nice. Tried Elite Dangerous, HLL, Medieval Dynasty, Skyrim and all look and play amazing. I use Photoshop a lot and that eats my hefty .PSD files and Camera RAW images for breakfast. Its great to not worry about Photoshop hanging anymore when dealing with lots and lots of layers, effects etc. Over all, a great PC and worth its price. Pros- Quiet (after sorting the fan speed in the BIOS) Super quick Games run smooth, most at highest settings at 1440p. May have to drop a few settings to medium to keep the 1440p resolution or you can drop it to 1080p. Nice case with good air flow Funky lights, which I don't really look at or need. However, they tell me this is a Gaming PC at heart for a budget minded gamer. Cons- Not liking Windows 11 at all for some reason. When installing the added RAM and my Hard drives, I couldn't see where the pre-installed SSD was? Maybe I was blind, but still no idea where it is. I initally thought OCUK forgot to put one in. The booklet you get for the case was a little bit 'meh' when trying to work out how to install my Hard drives. After 10 minutes, I finally did it. This review may not show to be from a verified purchaser, as my friend purshased it for me. Rest assured I am a real person who has this PC.
